Rajendra Prasad’s daughter Gayathri passes away at 38

Veteran actor Rajendra Prasad is in mourning over the death of his daughter Gayathri, who died of a heart attack in the early hours of Saturday. She was 38. The film fraternity rushed to cyberspace, condoling the veteran at the tragic death of his daughter.

Actress Gayathri had faced severe chest pain late on Friday night. She was immediately taken to AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and was pronounced dead at 12:40 am Saturday after a massive heart attack even after major medical interventions were carried out.

Her last rites would take place in Hyderabad later in the day. Gayathri leaves behind her daughter, child actor Sai Tejaswini. The relationship between Rajendra Prasad and Gayathri had been difficult, especially after she was made to marry against his wish. However, he said in 2018 that they were okay by the end of it all at an event celebrating Bewars. He claimed he saw his late mother in Gayathri, who passed away when he was a small boy.

Celebrities from the trade came out quickly to demand action. Pawan Kalyan, Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and actor, said, “My deepest condolences to Shri Rajendra Prasad. Shocked at the untimely demise of his daughter, Srimati Gayathri. Hope her soul rests in peace and wishes strength to him for the loss”.

Jr NTR also reacted to the incident on X (formerly Twitter). He remembered that Rajendra Prasad is a very close person to him and commented, “It’s sad to hear that my close friend Rajendra Prasad, daughter Gayathri passed away. She pray may her soul rest in peace. My condolences to him and his family.”

Sai Durgha Tej, earlier known as Sai Dharam Tej, said, “It is very painful to hear that someone like him, who saw his mother in his daughter, has to go through this. My deepest condolences to him. I pray that God gives his family the fortitude to endure this difficult time.”.

Nani stated, “My deepest condolences to Rajendra Prasad Gaaru and his family. This is heart-wrenching.” Fans, too, have flooded social media with messages, and many are visiting Rajendra Prasad’s house in Hyderabad to pay their tributes in person.
