Similarly, a recent Bollywood biopic, Srikanth Bolla, has generated mixed excitement. Written and directed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Bhushan Kumar, the film, which stars Rajkummar Rao and Alaya F, is greatly appreciated by both critics and viewers.

Rajkummar Rao’s performance as the industrialist Srikanth Bolla has also received good appreciation. More attention has been paid to the fact that the actor went further than the mere portrayal of the character of a blind man.

Since the main character of this movie is Srikanth this man’s portrayal of the medical representative Sandeep of Tamil Nadu, the role of his wife Swathi Bolla played by Alaya F has also been noted for her performance, the actress admitted that she found it tough to embody the real life Swathi.

However, despite appreciating critical acclamation, the picture’s grossing does not elicit a warm reception. The movie enjoyed a good run initially and built up a good pace in the first days, grossing Rs 1. 65 crore, Rs 1.

One crore, seventy-five lakhs, and Rs 1 in general fund for the current year only to every corner of the country through its branches. Week two expenses were 15 crore on day 5, 5 crore on day 6, and 25 crore on day 7. The general financial viability of the movie is not so bright, which makes many people ask themselves which factors led to such a poor performance in the commercial market.

Notably, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar also praised the film and Rajkummar Rao’s acting and went on to tell the actor to give acting classes. As the industry is still trying to adapt to the post-COVID situation, ‘Srikanth Bolla’ is a testimony of how important and captivating the biopic genre still is.
