Rajpal Yadav snatches journalist’s phone over Diwali question

Rajpal Yadav showed visible frustration towards a journalist who questioned him about his recent apology concerning Diwali celebrations. When asked about his clarification, in which he apologized for advising fans against bursting firecrackers on Diwali, Rajpal reportedly snatched the journalist’s camera.

In a video posted by a journalist of a leading Hindi publication, Rajpal is seen in Uttar Pradesh answering some questions while being filmed. He first responds to a question about his upcoming films and says that the audiences would see him in theatres every 1.5 months.

However, when the scribe shifts his question to the Diwali statement, an infuriated Rajpal grabs the journalist’s phone. The viral video now purportedly shows Rajpal trying to throw the telephone even though the footage keeps recording.

This incident comes after Rajpal’s recent Diwali message. A few days ago, he asked fans to refrain from firecrackers as their fumes harmed air and noise pollution. He then faced backlash and pulled down the message to post a video apology on social media in which he said in Hindi, “Hello friends.
Best wishes for Diwali!

A video surfaced on my social media handles two days back, which I got removed at once. I am sorry for those around the world offended by the video. May you celebrate Diwali with fanfare and emerge healthy and busy. Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!” In the caption, Rajpal clarified that he did not intend to demean the festival of Diwali:
