Rakul Preet credits Telugu fans for her acting career, calls Hyderabad her “first home”

Rakul Preet expresses gratitude towards her Telugu audience.

Actress Rakul Preet Singh has time and again credited her Telugu fans for kickstarting her career in cinema.

In a recent conversation, the actress thanked her Telugu audience in their language for realizing her dream of becoming an actor.

Some of Rakul’s notable Telugu films include Venkatadri Express, Loukyam, Pandaga Chesko, Kick 2, Sarrainodu, Dhruva, and Spyder.

She began her journey with the 2009 Kannada movie Gill. In past interviews too, Rakul has shared her strong connection with Hyderabad, saying she received much love from Telugu people and considers the city her first home.

While the media sometimes refers to her as a North Indian actress, Rakul says she is proud of her South Indian identity and owes her fame to Telugu cinema.

The actress revealed she automatically greets Telugu crowds with customary dialogues, having adapted deeply to the culture.

Rakul has also starred in Bollywood movies like Yaariyan, De De Pyaar De, Thank God, and Runway 34 post her debut in Hindi cinema. She continues to enjoy a following across languages.
