Rashmika Mandanna reflects on last day of Pushpa 2 shoot

Recently, Rashmika Mandanna took to her social media handle and penned an emotional note about the last day of the shooting of Pushpa 2: The Rule. Just the previous day, her leading man Allu Arjun posted a picture from his final day at work, but it was Rashmika’s remark on a possible third installment that really gave fans cause for celebration.

Taking to her Instagram Story on Tuesday night, Mandanna said her last day had been overwhelming. She recalled the mad rush of activities before it, saying, “On the evening of the 24th, after a full day of shooting, we took a flight to Chennai for a lovely event, then flew back to Hyderabad that same night. After just 4 or 5 hours of sleep, I rushed to my final day of Pushpa.”

Reflecting back, she wrote, “In my eight-year journey, five years have been spent on the sets of Pushpa. These past five years have made this set feel like home. Finally, it was my last day.”.

While fully aware that there was still a lot to be done before the release next week, Rashmika also suggested the continuation of the franchise: “Of course, there’s still a lot to do, and apparently a part 3 is in the works. It felt different. overwhelming. almost like an ending. A wave of sadness I couldn’t quite understand washed over me, reminding me of the intense hard work that brought me here. I felt tired and exhausted, but also immensely grateful.”

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule features Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles. A sequel to the 2021 pan-Indian blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise,. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, with music by T-Series, Pushpa 2 is set to hit theaters on December 5. The film has already garnered significant attention, boasting impressive advance bookings in the U.S., positioning it as one of the most anticipated Indian films of recent times.
