Rhea Chakraborty launches ‘Chapter 2’ podcast, moves forward

After going through a rather volatile period involving being in the spotlight and consequent trolling, actress Rhea Chakraborty is evidently starting anew. On Saturday’s episode of a podcast, she released what she named ‘Chapter 2’, claiming it reflects her current state of mind. And the acting is not on her mind for now.

Rhea was in this storm and brought to the forefront of media investigations after the mysterious death of her actor boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput, in 2020. Now, she feels that, finally, she has done something that takes her power back and puts her in the driver’s seat.

Rhea was arrested in September 2020 in a drug case related to Sushant’s death. She later obtained an early bail in October 2020. The first podcast, in which she invited actor Sushmita Sen, was released on Saturday.

Rhea further mentioned that the name of her podcast is an abbreviation of her life. “People have my ‘chapter one’ in their heads or think they do. I did go through so many phases of feeling all sorts of emotions and ‘being’ all sorts of things. I am now feeling more like myself, but a new self, a second coming, if you will. And anyone who has a ‘chapter two’ can relate. ”

Sushant was a versatile actor who started his career on the small screen, and today, tragically, he was found hanging in his apartment in suburban Bandra on June 14, 2020.

While the Mumbai police, after the first death, alleged an Accidental Death Report (ADR) and began the investigation, in July 2020, his father filed a complaint with Bihar police that Rhea and her family played a role in aiding him to commit suicide.

Rhea and Showik were arrested by the NCB in 2020 in a drugs case linked to Rajput. By the end of the day, they were both released on bail. In March this year, a special court under the NDPS Act in Mumbai allowed the actress Rhea Chakraborty to go with her family for a short holiday in Thailand.
