Richa Chadha chooses heartbreaking role in “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar

Actress Richa Chadha has chosen a challenging role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s OTT debut, “Heeramandi: Her novel, “The Diamond Bazaar,” is hardly a surprise since she is getting positive reviews. Having been given a choice for a different role with more screen time, Chadha chose to play Lajjo because of how enthralling and emotionally gripping her storylines are in our project.

Her acting style had a faint but strong echo of the iconic figure of Mmeena Kumari from Pakeezah and ‘female Devdas’. Chadha believed that people who saw the movie would remember Lajjo’s unforgettable character.

By explaining her decision, Chadha has emphasized that she is tired of being embroiled only in the empowered characters. To make up an entirely new character of a heartbroken romantic, she wanted to push the audience to the maximum, make them feel incredible emotions, and, in the end, be moved to tears.

The actress shared that havoc people are texting and calling her for she has portrayed a close-to-life experience truly to the point. It makes them cry.

Moreover, amongst her other values, Chadha, a trained Kathak dancer, viewed the Kathak dance sequence performed by Lajjo very closely. Acting the way her dancing skills could be directly integrated into her film roles has always been a dream of the actress, and “Heeramandi” was the best platform to make it come true

“Heeramandi: The movie: “The Diamond Bazaar” is a drama film that ends smoothly on Netflix. The actress is fantastic as Richa Chadha, who is very skilled and puts effects into her work.
