Ryan Reynolds reportedly ready to buy out Justin Baldoni for Blake Lively’s future in “It ends with us” franchise

Reports suggest Ryan Reynolds may buy out the director from the Lively franchise project.

Sources claim Ryan Reynolds offered to purchase director Justin Baldoni’s stake in potential sequels to Blake Lively’s movie “It Ends With Us.”

Baldoni and Blake Lively allegedly differed on set, straining future collaboration. Reynolds allegedly wants to ensure Lively’s continued involvement independently.

Baldoni’s Wayfarer Studios owns the rights to the book series sequel source material. Reynolds reportedly proposed buying their shares.

Lively’s role in the critically acclaimed romance drama was her biggest to date at the box office. A sequel could solidify this star vehicle franchise for her.

However, sequel prospects remain uncertain given the speculated interpersonal dynamics troubles in the first film. Baldoni expressed uncertainty over directing a sequel based on a newer book in the series.

The studio has supported Lively in continuing with them but her working relationship status with Baldoni is ambiguous.

No parties have confirmed or commented on the proposed purchase. Questions remain over resolving production conflicts and defining creative control.

Sequel fate depends on the resolution between principals’ competing interests and the viability of another collaboration between Lively and Baldoni.
