Salman Khan faces new death threat amid security concerns

In a new development, it emerges that Bollywood’s biggest star, Salman Khan, reportedly received another death threat. According to the Mumbai Police, an unidentified caller has demanded ₹2 crore, approximately ₹20 million, from the actor. The Mumbai Police have registered a case against an unidentified man charged with sending threatening messages through WhatsApp to the Mumbai Police’s Traffic Helpline.

There is also a warning for strict action if the demand is unmet. Traffic Police immediately forwarded the matter to the Worli Police, who have started trying to trace the source of the threat.

The incident comes within days of the Mumbai Police arresting a 20-year-old man from Noida in Uttar Pradesh, accused of issuing death threats to Salman Khan and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique. The arrest took place on Monday.

As per the official at Nirmal Nagar police station, “The accused sent a threatening message to MLA Zeeshan Siddique’s helpline and later made a voice call in which he threatened to kill Siddique and Salman Khan. This happened on Friday.”

The matter has taken a serious turn following the tragic incidents relating to the murder of Zeeshan’s father, Baba Siddique, a three-time MLA and former state minister, who was shot dead outside his son’s office in Bandra on October 12. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang had claimed the attack had a motive relating to the politician’s proximity with Salman Khan.

The Bishnoi gang, earlier this year, fired bullets outside Salman’s residence in Mumbai too. In that case, the Mumbai Police had arrested four accused.
