Salman Khan’s Sikandar teaser: Action-packed thrills await

The anticipation continues to build for Salman Khan’s upcoming film Sikandar, with the release of a new teaser that promises an action-filled movie experience. The second teaser, shared by the actor on social media, gives a glimpse of the film’s suspenseful plot.

The one minute and 21-second trailer begins with an interesting introduction of Khan’s character. Nostalgia runs thick in the air as he talks about where he got his name from. He says that his grandmother called him Sikander, while his grandfather chose to call him Sanjay. “Aur pragya ne rajasahab,” he finishes, hinting at the royalty associated with his character.

As the teaser unfolds, audiences are presented with a series of quick-paced action sequences that star Khan in his larger-than-life, signature style. With characteristic bravado, he fights off a number of foes, sending a flurry of punches and kicks against various backdrops, from barren landscapes to the inside of an airplane.

The trailer is punctuated by memorable one-liners, including “Kayde mein raho fayde mein rahoge” and “Insaaf nahi hisab karne aaya hun.” Rashmika Mandanna is the love interest of Khan, adding a romantic spice to the adrenaline-fueled plot, along with vibrant dance and music numbers.

The buzz about Sikandar began last year when it put out its initial teaser, featuring Khan entering a room with guns and men wearing samurai gear. It seemed like there was something about to go terribly wrong as he delivered, “Suna hain ki bohot saare log mere peeche pade hain. Bas, meri mudne ki der hain” (I’ve heard many are after me. Just wait for me to turn).

Earlier this month, a new poster for Sikandar created fiery discussions on the web. The striking image has Khan avoiding a cut from a sharp object, his piercing eyes set against a vibrant red background. Some of the social media users noted that this poster resembles that of Jacqueline Fernandez’s Mrs. Serial Killer, which came out in 2020.

Directed by AR Murugadoss, who has come up with hits like Ghajini and Thuppakki, Sikandar will hit the screens on Eid 2025. Kajal Aggarwal joins Rashmika Mandanna in the film, with Khan reportedly sporting a new avatar. While details about the story are not revealed, the film is being helmed by Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, only adding to the buzz for this action fest.
