Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently posted Rudyard Kipling’s iconic poem If— on Instagram, calling it a “guiding light” in her life. Sharing two pages of the poem, she captioned the post with gratitude, expressing how Kipling’s words have provided her with strength and clarity.
A poignant excerpt from the poem reads, “If you can keep your head when all about you, Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too.”
The post resonated widely, drawing admiration from fans and colleagues alike. Actor Arjun Kapoor commented on how the poem holds a special place in his life, revealing, “I have a print of this on my wall… Helped me when I needed inspiration.”

The poem has had notable admirers, including boxing legend Muhammad Ali, who reportedly carried it in his wallet. It also holds a prominent place at India’s National Defence Academy in Pune and the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala.
Samantha was recently seen in Citadel: Honey Bunny, directed by Raj and DK, alongside Varun Dhawan, and the 2023 Telugu film Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda. She is now filming a new web series, Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom.
