Selena Gomez opens up about fertility struggles and vulnerability

Well-known singer and actress Selena Gomez recently revealed her issues with fertility, talking about her inability to carry children while talking openly about it. As mentioned earlier, she became famous after circulating on X, where she said, “It is not shameful to ask people when you need help.” I remember her stating this during a Women in Film event: ‘So yeah, I told them I can’t carry a child. Yeah, I said I have bipolar. F–k off. That’s who I am.”

Gomez asked them to be truthful, stating that everyone is struggling with something. I’m not perfect; I am me.” She also advised her younger sister, Gracie, and attendees to reject victimhood: Hopefully, I have given you enough quotes to screw anyone who tells you that you’re a victim. With those words to me you can say what you like, you’re a survivor in my book.”

When speaking with Vanity Fair recently, she stated that adoption and surrogacy are “definitely possibilities of her future family because carrying a baby because of her health problems, that’s a big no.” Gomez thanked the show for other possibilities to become a mum: I look forward to what is next.” She has battled lupus and bipolar disorder and tells her story through the show My Mind & Me, airing on Apple TV+.
