Shah Rukh Khan talks about fitness, ‘jawan,’ and action in an exclusive interview

Shah Rukh Khan exudes versatility with the action film ‘Jawan.’

Global cinema icon Shah Rukh Khan is renowned for slipping effortlessly into diverse roles. His upcoming action film ‘Jawan’ sees the actor fulfill a longtime dream of portraying an action hero.

In an interview with The Guardian, Khan reminisced about wanting a muscular physique with props of violence since entering the industry. With time devoted to fitness amid the pandemic, he molded his body for the part.

Khan typically restricts himself to one meal daily, an unrelated habit to trends. Half an hour each day is also committed to workouts as he wakes late and works until the early hours.

Honored at the Locarno Film Festival with a lifetime achievement award, Khan confirmed appearing in Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘King.’ He acknowledged action sequences’ challenges but believes an actor must undertake most stunts to appear credible.

At the festival, Khan humorously said the reality of post-shoot pain contrasts glamorous on-screen heroics.

Maintaining peak conditions requires sacrifices like dietary changes and specialized routines to seamlessly portray roles demanding varied skills. Khan’s untiring zeal to master new genres has enthralled worldwide audiences yet again.
