Shefali Jariwala’s surprising take on Paparazzi ‘Back Shots’

The reality show Bigg Boss has always entertained its audiences. Among the seasons that have aired this show, the 13th season was quite prominent, with Shefali Jariwala, Paras Chhabra, Siddharth Shukla, Shehnaaz Gill, and Rashami Desai.

Not so long ago, Paras Chhabra appeared in a podcast with his ex-contestant Shefali Jariwala. He remembered that one time, Shefali was with her husband, Parag Tyagi, and one of the earrings accidentally dropped on the floor.

Apprehensive about the paparazzi taking unpleasant shots of women, thus risking getting them from behind, Parag took the earring himself.

Nevertheless, Shefali had a different opinion on the topic, to which the concern of other Bollywood celebrities was heard. When Paras asked her about the paparazzi constantly capturing the images of women’s backs Shefali said, “No, I don’t mind. I work hard for it. So a little show, why not”?

This surprisingly novel approach to the issue involves Shefali celebrating the body that she has worked so hard to attain and indifference to the so-called ‘back shots. ’ This is the message for the viewers: there is no right way to deal with the most significant challenges of celebrity culture and media invasion.

Since the entertainment industry is still facing these issues, Shefali Jariwala’s view is an interesting addition to the discussion.
