Hailing from the city of Nagpur, India, the genie of the soulful tunes, Shreya Jain has just released the music video for her recent hit, ‘Na Rahi. ‘
It has been possible to analyze how the lyrics of ‘Na Rahi’ create a powerful message of people who have suffered the consequences of having a love story gone wrong and how the powerful song’s futuristic melody enshrines all this.
Shreya’s main themes revolve around the memories that connect the main character to the present and the painful experience of healing as she slowly moves on, touching on hope and starting anew.
There was a stay on a detailed question and answer session to learn more about her as an artist; she said, “There is so much that I get inspired by in my own life, which has a direct influence on my music compositions. I enjoy penning down songs based on true events as much as possible because I feel being able to empathize with them helps me leave a piece of my heart in the song.
For Shreya, although she still dances on weekend nights, she never entered the typical mainstream music bowel preparation protocol. Being born to an eminent Hindustani classical vocalist, she has received the inevitable influence of Indian classical music right from her childhood.
It was in five years prior that she knew that she intended to be a musician. “I actually trust the Lord’s arrangement and that some things are just meant for you in that period,” she said.
This is not a surprise and should come as no big shock to anyone who continues to enjoy Shreya’s music and as she continues to create beautiful and touching pieces of art with her powerful voice; ‘Na Rahi’ remains a perfect example of all that Shreya Ghoshal is made up off as an artist.
