Shriya Pilgaonkar’s latest success in Taaza Khabar 2 has stolen the hearts of fans. With over one million followers on her Instagram account, she has won the hearts of all her fans and colleagues. Recently, the actress shared that one of her followers is a Bollywood star who goes by the name Ranveer Singh.
In conversation with Filmygyan, Shriya was asked to take the name of a celebrity she was shocked to see following her. Without any inhibition, she took Ranveer Singh’s name. “Ranveer follows me on ‘Instagram.’ I love Ranveer,” she revealed.
Having established her career in the OTT space, Shriya has now started looking forward to films. She said she wants to work with known director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and put her Frenzy on striking a balance between projects from OTT and traditional cinema. “Ideally, I want to keep a balance, so I’m focusing more on films now. That’s perhaps a medium that I’ve not done enough of,” she said. “I’ve been wanting to dance on screen.”
Shriya also said she wants to act in a big Bhansali period drama. “I want to experience the Bollywood masala, larger-than-life films… That is every actor’s dream,” she said.
The second season, Taaza Khabar 2, features Bhuvan Bam, Jaaved Jaaferi, Prathamesh Parab, Deven Bhojani, and Shilpa Shukla in key roles. It is produced under the banner of BB Ki Vines Production by Rohit Raj and Bhuvan Bam, while the direction is by Himank Gaur, where Bhuvan essays the role of Vasya in Season Two, with new challenges.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is preparing for the release of Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. Other stars who will be in this film include Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor, and Tiger Shroff. Singham Again is expected to be released on November 1, on the occasion of Diwali. The recently released trailer gives away a story closely related to the Ramayana.
