Sobhita Dhulipala contributed her signature touch to the festive spirit of Diwali and sent a playful wish to her fans. She put up an Insta picture holding a packet of sparklers, with her photo on the cover, acknowledging in a most light-hearted manner that she was fast rising as a star, for appearing on a firecracker packet is a milestone in the lives of most Indian celebrities. The words accompanying the picture went, “Happy Diwali, “laced with great humor.
Recently, Sobhita attended the grand Diwali bash thrown by ace designer Manish Malhotra. The actress was seen wearing a custom Banarsi Ikat saree, a navy blue blouse, and traditional jewelry as she spread elegance in a series of stunning photos she shared on Instagram. “At the most fantastical Diwali bash by @manishmalhotra05,” she wrote while sprinkling the caption with sparkly heart emojis to make it even more festive.
Apart from the festive celebrations, the wedding bells for Sobhita and Naga Chaitanya have started to ring, and pre-wedding rituals seem to be in full swing. Last week, she gave glimpses of the Pasupu Danchadam ceremony, a traditional Telugu pre-wedding custom that ushers in marital celebrations.
She joined the proceedings, traditionally garbed in a colorful saree with gold and green borders, surrounded by family, grinding turmeric as part of the blessings. “Godhuma Raayi Pasupu Danchadam. And so it begins,” she captioned and gave word to the beginning of her new life.
Fans now await the official announcement of the date and venue of the marriage. This marriage will mark a new beginning for Chaitanya, whose earlier relationship with Samantha Ruth Prabhu ended in October 2021 with a declaration of a mutual separation.
On the work front, Sobhita was last seen in the ZEE5 series Love, Sitara, and the film Monkey Man earlier this year. Naga Chaitanya will be seen next in Thandel. Sobhita started her career as a model and came into national prominence as one of the finalists in the 2013 Femina Miss India pageant. She also made an incredibly strong impression with her acting debut in Anurag Kashyap’s Raman Raghav 2.0 in 2016.
Over these years, she continued to impress with notable performances in films like Goodachari, Moothon, and the international project Monkey Man. Sobhita also splashed on OTT, especially with her highly acclaimed role in the Amazon Prime series Made in Heaven, showcasing her intense, brooding performance.
