Stars like Taylor Swift, Blake Lively lead the way in hurricane relief donations

Celebrities pitch in for hurricane relief efforts.

As communities recover from the devastation of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, several celebrities have stepped up with sizeable donations for relief work.

Singer Taylor Swift contributed $5 million to Feeding America, which the organization’s CEO thanked for helping rebuild impacted regions.

Actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds also gave $1 million to support food banks providing essential aid. Their “longtime support…has helped…before, during, and after disasters,” noted Feeding America.

American football star Tom Brady donated $100,000 for relief, matched by Give with Gopuff. He urged to keep affected people in his prayers during challenging times.

Country music legend Dolly Parton gave $1 million to Mountain Ways, aiding regions in East Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and Appalachia. Her donation was doubled by foundations and local businesses.

Since Helene’s landfall, Feeding America has delivered over 140 truckloads of food, water, and supplies across 11 impacted food banks.

Hurricane Milton in Florida has claimed 13 lives so far and left millions without power, with the state also recovering from Helene’s damage earlier. The celebrity contributions are helping relief organizations scale up the response.
