
The Coldplay fan club welcomed some new members this past weekend, as Suhana Khan, daughter of Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, her best friend Navya Nanda, and her younger brother AbRam joined the festivities. Suhana shared a series of vibrant photos from the concert, attended by her cousin Alia Chhiba, capturing the essence of the memorable night.
What caught the fans’ attention particularly was the fashionable twinning moment between Suhana and Navya, who were both sporting matching white tank tops, epitomizing the ultimate best friend goals. Suhana also included a glimpse of her brother AbRam in her carousel post, captioning it with a nostalgic note: “Take me back to the start.”
On the second day of the tour, Coldplay made headlines when lead singer Chris Martin paid tribute to the evergreen Shah Rukh Khan during the concert. A viral video captured the moment, with Martin exclaiming, “Shah Rukh Khan forever,” prompting loud cheers from the audience.
Shah Rukh Khan responded to this gesture by posting a video of Coldplay’s performance in Mumbai on his Instagram stories. He thanked them, writing, “Look at the stars. Look how they shine for you. and everything you do! My brother Chris Martin, you make me feel special. like your songs! Love you and a big hug to your team. You are one in a billion, my friend. India loves you.”
Continuing the bonhomie, Shah Rukh Khan repeated after him, “Chris Martin Forever & ever.” Coldplay’s India tour is far from over. The band will perform at the DY Patil Sports Stadium on January 21. It will also be seen performing at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26.
After the India tour, Coldplay is scheduled to tour Hong Kong in April and would perform in South Korea as well. The band’s Republic Day special concert will also be live on Disney+ Hotstar.
In a heartfelt video message, Chris Martin wished their Indian fans warm greetings, saying, “Namaste to all our friends in India. We are so happy to tell you that on the 26th of January, our show from Ahmedabad is streaming live on Disney+ Hotstar. We hope you can join us. We are so excited to come to your beautiful country. Much love.”
Coldplay, consisting of Chris Martin (vocalist and pianist), Jonny Buckland (guitarist), Guy Berryman (bassist), and Will Champion (drummer and percussionist), with Phil Harvey as their manager, is once again returning to India after nine years since their previous performance at the Global Citizen Festival in 2016.
