Taapsee Pannu: From spy thrillers to revenge drama

Bollywood’s leading actress, Taapsee Pannu, still portrays versatility with her different characters. Last year, she finished shooting the latest portion of the ‘Haseen Dillruba’ series, where her portrayal was appreciated for its richness and sensuousness.

Before starting her new show, ‘Gandhari,’ Pannu found time to talk about her journey as a filmmaker, her working relationship with writer Kanika Dhillon, and her expertise in spy films. In an interview, Pannu discussed her role in ‘Naam Shabana’ (2015), a film made before spy-themed movies became popular in Bollywood.

In a recent interview with Pannu, he said, “I made a spy film when they were not even in fashion. ” “Now that they’re popular, I have refused such roles because I have done that, and the audiences appreciated my work. ”

In the future, Pannu shall join hands with Dhillon in ‘Gandhari,’ an action thriller that will be quite unlike anything she has done before. Explaining the comparison between her character in ‘Gandhari’ to her work done in ‘Naam Shabana’, Pannu said,

“The audience enjoyed the spy role, but in Gandhari, Kanika offered a new role for me this time, I am a mother avenging the death of her son. ”

Pannu was appreciated and credited for the film Naam Shabana, and then finally, she hit the jackpot again with her recently released Hasseen Dillruba. That’s the case now with Goodal Machaan, which continues to shoot Gandhari, and her fans are waiting for her next drama. This new role looks forward to defining Pannu’s acting skills in a new dimension that could prove more fascinating.

Pannu continues to accept the offer of complicated roles and invests her energy in conforming to trends in the current Indian cinema industry. Every new piece of work only strengthens her status as one of the most versatile and possibly most proficient actresses in the industry. Therefore, although Pannu did not have a very long career with hero status in Bollywood, he did prove his love for acting and his capability to develop in the new environment of Bollywood films.
