Tanushree Dutta alleges uncomfortable experiences on set

Even Tanushree Dutta, who has appeared as an actress in Aashiq Banaya Apne and Good Boy Bad Boy, has not spared herself from narrating some embarrassing moments on the sets of the film Chocolate that starred her and Vivek Agnihotri.

Dutta gave an example of the day that she got to work five minutes late. During an interview with Faridoon Shahryar, she said he once shouted at her that she was unprofessional. There were moments when she came to the set, the lights were off, and the crew was unprepared. She was only five minutes late, and he was specifically waiting to ensure she showed up.

Closely elaborating her uneasiness, she spoke of the demands made on women, particularly actresses.

“The artists are expected to sleep in those vans when not shooting, especially after wearing such costumes as these short wears, besides, even during a scene, I would be seated in a robe only to be told by him to remove it because a shot is coming up,”

she said.

That is why Dutta’s statements stimulated the debate on the actors’ actions on the set and problems of professionalism and respect on the set in the industry.
