Taylor Swift wasn’t spotted at boyfriend Travis Kelce’s game—the pop superstar’s first absence this NFL season. Swift was nowhere to be seen when the Kansas City Chiefs battled it out against the Atlanta Falcons in Georgia on Sunday despite having attended the team’s previous two matches. Swift had said that she would try to make it to as many of Kelce’s games as possible before her Eras Tour picks up again in October.
But the dedicated singer, off on tour hiatus, opted not to head to Atlanta to catch the game. Swift, last season, made several lengthy road trips to attend Kelce games, traveling thousands of miles. In February, for instance, she flew over 5,000 miles from Japan to Las Vegas to attend the Super Bowl. Reports say she never arrived in Atlanta and did not attend the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where the game kicked off at 8:20 PM ET.
The Chiefs tweeted on X a photo of Kelce’s arrival at the stadium captioned “Happiness. Fun. Magic.” The reference was a nod to Swift’s recent comments at the VMAs, where she said Kelce brings happiness and magic into her life. The team’s nod to her was lighthearted, but Swift was noticeably absent from the stadium.
The singer was recently spotted for a low-key night out in New York City, hitting The Corner Store restaurant in SoHo with her friend Gigi Hadid.
He went all out, arriving at the stadium in an extra-large black jacket, a white dress shirt, and some red kicks, finishing it off with shades. The Chiefs were trying to go 3-0 after beating their last two opponents, the Ravens and Bengals. They play the Chargers next week, so fingers crossed that Swift could be there.
