Taylor Swift skips Harris rally amid rumors of withdrawal of support.
While Gaga and Perry campaigned for Kamala Harris in Pennsylvania, Taylor Swift was reportedly set to join the key rally but failed to show up, fueling talks of waning backing.
The Grammy winner instead spent election eve with NFL beau Travis Kelce at a Kansas City Chiefs game in Missouri.
Her social media only included a generic reminder for fans to vote on the big day without explicit Harris-Biden endorsement as seen earlier.
Swift had written a strong Instagram note in the past professing to cast her ballot for the Vice President citing her pro-LGBTQ and women’s rights stance among attributes.
She praised Harris as a “gifted leader” capable of accomplishing much more through her “calm” leadership opposite of “chaos”.
However, the no-show at the pivotal Pennsylvania outing and absence of a public affirmation from the vocal artiste reinforced suggestions of her possibly changing stance.
While other celebrities ratcheted up campaigning for the Democrats, Swift’s actions have triggered speculations on potential passive distancing from Harris late in the process.
