Taylor Swift honors 9/11 victims at VMAs, endorses Kamala Harris for President.
Singer Taylor Swift won the Best Collaboration award at the MTV VMAs for ‘Fortnight’ with Post Malone. In her acceptance speech, she paid tribute to the victims of the 2001 9/11 attacks in New York where the awards were held.
Swift declared her support for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 US Presidential Election on Instagram.
She said Harris fights for the rights and causes she believes in and that the country can accomplish more under calm leadership.
The singer conducted research and made her choice to back the Vice President whom she described as a “steady-handed, gifted leader”.
Swift reminded first-time voters to register on time and that early voting makes the process easier. She endorsed Harris days after an intense TV debate between the Vice President and former President Donald Trump.
The international pop star is using her massive social media platform to rally support for her preferred candidates ahead of the next elections.
