Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya has hit the box office with a bang, creating a stir in the film industry. Under the direction of debut filmmakers Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the duo of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon has successfully crossed the ₹50 crore net mark in just nine days in India, as reported by Sacnilk.com.
The film’s first week showcased strong performance, accumulating ₹44.35 crore. Day 8 witnessed an addition of ₹2.85 crore to its impressive collection. Early estimates for Day 9 suggest a substantial ₹4.75 crore nett in India, bringing the overall earnings to ₹51.95 crore nett.
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya introduces a unique storyline with Shahid Kapoor portraying a robot scientist who develops emotions and eventually ties the knot with Kriti Sanon’s character, Sifra, a highly intelligent female robot. Despite receiving mixed reviews upon its release on February 9, the film has garnered attention and commendation.
The cast also includes veterans Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia, contributing to the film’s diverse appeal. Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar join forces as producers, bringing this distinctive tale to the big screen.
Shahid Kapoor sheds light on the film’s innovative aspects, stating, “We pushed the envelope with Sifra, the robot, and then we started pushing the envelope with AI… We’ve already seen that happen digitally with the movies. I would say 80 percent of the movies doing well on the big screen have more VFX than acting. We know that in movies, the simulation is as good as reality. Look at Avatar, everything was simulated, but it was real.”
