Sukumar’s directorial “The Rule” is creating magic at the box office as it crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark and sealed its position as the highest grosser of the year. While Allu Arjun’s stellar performance has kept the audience hooked, it is his leading lady Rashmika Mandanna who has caught the attention of Heeramandi star Sanjeeda Shaikh.
Sanjeeda spoke about how her perception of Rashmika changed after watching her in the film “Animal.” “The last film I watched was Pushpa 2, and I loved it! I never considered myself in competition with my contemporaries, but I’ve developed a newfound admiration for Rashmika. I used to see her frequently on social media, but after witnessing her performances, particularly in Animal, my perspective changed,” she noted.
Sanjeeda praised Rashmika’s elegance and talent in “Animal,” especially pointing out one pivotal scene with Ranbir Kapoor that changed her perception about the actress as a serious performer. “That scene changed my opinion of her; she truly belongs in the category of great performers. After watching her in Pushpa 2, my respect for her only grew,” she added.
Commenting on Rashmika’s performance in “Pushpa 2,” Sanjeeda said, “I like strong performances. Though Pushpa 2 is an Allu Arjun film, how Rashmika stood her ground was commendable. Her scenes were so smoothly done! That moment when she says, ‘Yeh mera husband hai,’ was so nice; it’s still stuck in my head.
The cast of “Pushpa 2” included Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, with Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles. This film, released on December 5, is still performing decently at the box office. Coming next, Rashmika Mandanna will be seen with Vicky Kaushal in the historical drama by Laxman Utekar titled “Chaava.”.
