It is on record that Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra enjoyed a touching friendship, which is evident to anyone who reads social networking sites or Bollywood rags. Priyanka often appeared in the media, declaring her SRK as her role model, though Shah Rukh Khan treated her like a sister. But they were good friends, though this friendship came under much critique, especially by Shah Rukh’s wife, Gauri Khan.

The matter was taken to another level when, during her episode at Dirty Laundry, Priyanka insinuated that she once dated Shah Rukh. For instance, she once wore a jacket that looked quite similar to one that he had worn, raising eyebrows on how they knew each other.
It was reported that there had been strain between the couple after Gauri Khan became aware of these rumours, which reportedly began at Mannat, the residence of Shah Rukh Khan. She warned Shah Rukh against working with Priyanka again, resulting in her circle, including Karan Johar, boycotting her.
Afterwards, the two stars withdrew from the public domain as companions, and rumours indicated that they had a fallout that ended a brilliant camaraderie between them. After that, they could not be seen together in more scenes.
