Triptii Dimri reflects on journey through Bollywood challenges

Triptii Dimri, who has been in the news for her latest performance in Animal opposite Ranbir Kapoor, has had it tough in Bollywood. Besides being part of several big-budget films and enjoying love from millions of fans, this pretty actress hasn’t tasted an easy road to success.

Triptii has faced setbacks, harsh criticism, and rejection many times. Recently, she spoke to people about her experiences within the Indian film industry and remembered the painful comment that sparked her determination to succeed.

Recently, in an interview with ETimes, Triptii talked about how she once received a “hurtful comment” from someone in the industry. “Somebody taunted me and made very mean remarks. That was the day I decided I couldn’t leave the city without making it,” she said.

She continued, “Newcomers are baffled by the intricacies of the industry. What works for one doesn’t work for another.” “There was a lot of confusion and chaos. It’s still there, but I prefer the current chaos over the past one,” she added.

Though she spoke candidly about her struggles, Triptii chose not to disclose specific names or details of the incident.

As the actress now looks back, credit goes to eight years of struggle before she made it big. “Some think it happened overnight. Yes, it happened with one film, but eight years of effort are behind it. I don’t complain; that was the fun part. It’s been eight years on the field, plus two years of auditioning and rejections,” she explains.

Having started her career as an extra in Sridevi’s Mom, Triptii bagged her first lead in Laila Majnu and then Power-packed performances in Bulbbul and Qala. But it was Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal that brought her into the limelight, and since then, she has been getting a host of new projects back to back. Presently, Triptii’s films Bad Newz and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video have just been released, and now she will be seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
