Urvashi Rautela claims temple dedicated to her in Uttarakhand

Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela has stirred conversation online with her recent assertion about a temple in her honor. According to Rautela, a temple dedicated to her exists in Uttarakhand, and she now aspires to have another one established in South India.

In a chat with Siddharth Kannan, Rautela revealed that her temple is located near the famous Badrinath temple. “There is a temple in my name in Uttarakhand. If one visits Badrinath, there is an ‘Urvashi temple’ right next to it,” she stated.

When Kannan inquired whether visitors seek blessings at her temple, Rautela responded with a laugh, “Ab mandir hai toh woh hi toh karenge” (It’s a temple, that’s what they will do). She humorously noted that while no one openly shouts for her blessings, she believes people do pray there. Rautela mentioned that students from Delhi University even offer garlands at her photographs, referring to her as ‘Damdamamai.’

“I am being serious about it. It is true. There are news articles about the same too. You can read them,” she emphasized.

During the discussion, Rautela, who is expanding her presence in various regional film industries, expressed her ambition to have a temple dedicated to her in South India as well.

Upcoming Projects

On the professional front, Rautela was recently featured in a dance number for the film Jaat, starring Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda. The song, titled “Sorry Bol,” has received mixed reviews from audiences. While some enjoyed her dance performance, others noted similarities in the tune to the classic “Tip Tip Barsa Paani.” Released on April 10, the film, which also stars Regina Cassandra, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Saiyami Kher, has performed decently at the box office, and a sequel has already been announced.
