Vedang Raina is readying for his upcoming film, The Archies. The actor made his acting debut last year in Zoya Akhtar’s musical drama, which featured Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Dot, Agastya Nanda, Mihir Ahuja, and Yuvraj Menda. In an interview recently with Galatta India, Vedang shared some insight about his co-stars.
Speaking about Suhana Khan, Vedang added, “One thing I love about her is that she is very warm to people around her. But yes, she would take the maximum time to get ready on set. While guys would be getting ready in 15 minutes, we used to wait an extra 40 minutes for her.”. Many times during takes, her hair and makeup team would interrupt us to ensure everything was perfect. That is not Suhana’s fault; it was the film’s requirement.”
Talking about Khushi Kapoor, Vedang said, “I think she is very generous to everyone. “I like that she is very sweet and generous to everyone around her. While I wouldn’t say I tolerate anything about her, sometimes she tends to go on a self-doubt trip, which I think she shouldn’t.”
The Archies is a 2023 teen musical comedy by Zoya Akhtar based on a namesake American comic book series. It is set in the 1960s in India and follows Archie and his friends as they study romance, friendship, and impending developers who want to demolish a favorite park.
Meanwhile, he is very excited about his role in Jigra, where he plays Alia Bhatt’s brother. This action-thriller, directed by Vasan Bala himself, has an ensemble cast that also includes Manoj Pahwa and Rahul Ravindran in significant roles. It will be released on October 11. It was co-produced by Alia’s Eternal Sunshine Productions and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
