Yodha’s Box Office Performance on Day 4: Sidharth Malhotra’s Film Sees Over 50% Decline on Monday

Yodha falters at BO on the first working day.

Action entertainer Yodha, starring Sidharth Malhotra, has floundered in the crucial acid test of holding audiences beyond the opening weekend.

Early estimates suggest the Dharma Productions venture limped to a paltry ₹2.15 crore nett on the first Monday, barely matching half of Sunday’s proceeds.

With a lacklustre opening and mixed word-of-mouth, the film directed by debutantes Sagar Ambre-Pushkar Ojha has amassed approximately ₹19 crore to date.

With national & global releases, Yodha failed to create the buzz required to surpass even Vikas Bahl’s ₹106 crore horror hit Shaitaan, which added ₹3 crore to its kitty on the same day.

Occupancy levels indicated thinning interest, with Mumbai theatres at 9.75% despite 437 shows, while Delhi/NCR’s 629 shows saw 11.25% full.

Only Chennai, with 36 shows, managed a creditable 30.5% occupancy, hinting at the film’s inability to draw masses beyond initial hype.

Co-starring Raashii Khanna, the actioner will hope for an upward trend against strong holdover titles in its quest for commercial success.
