Apple explores partnership with Murugappa group and Titan for iPhone camera modules in India

As per a recent media report, giant world corporation Apple is undergoing advanced negotiations with two Indian companies, Murugappa Group and Titan Company, to introduce Indian suppliers of iPhone lens modules. Such cooperation between Apple and India-based manufacturers can definitely help Apple reduce its dependency on Chinese suppliers and also spread the company’s business worldwide.

These talks, reported by The Economic Times, involve Apple’s intention to team up with the Murugappa Group and the Titan Company to become the manufacturers of smaller bits that are parts of the iPhone’s camera module in India. Apple’s decision to start assembling its iPhones in India is consistent with its plan to strengthen its indigenous supply chain and satisfy the expanding demand for its products in the Indian region.

Whether Production is Quoted as Scene in India, Apple Finds itself Confronting the challenge of providing camera modules from a domestic supplier. Joint venturing with Murugappa Group and Titan Company could address the absence of this upstream link and lead to the rise of national raw material supply sourcing.

Apple’s decision to manufacture its products in-house is backed up by the scheme’s policy. Thus, teaming up with established Indian companies, which in turn enhances the quality of high-precision components, would only make them better. This tie-up may be instrumental in coming up with a formidable value chain for the production of photographic elements that would significantly bring the costs down and eliminate the need for China suppliers.
