Dabur India’s retail expansion: Adding 2 lakh new outlets

It’s a major auspicious achievement that Indian FMCG major Dabur India has been successful in achieving new distribution points of two lakhs in the financial year 2023-24. This kind of expansion is unintelligible and is the greatest any FMCG firm has undergone in the Indian Market.

Modern Ayurveda is Dabur’s largest range and has many firsts to its credit under the leadership of Mohit Burman, the Chairman of Dabur, who declared that the company now possesses one of the largest and the broadest distribution channels for the industry that has reached more than 7.

with a target to reach 9 million outlets and 1,22,000 villages across the country. Burman further added that Dabur’s direct base has now reached 1 crore. Across 7. 42 million retail outlets, 8 of 10 Indian households are Dabur consumers.

These brands, including Dabur Chyawanprash, Dabur Honey, Dabur PudinHara, and Dabur Amla, have been the company’s flagship brands and have spurred the above growth. In the last financial year, the company established 14 new products and forayed into new segments like mosquito repellent liquid vaporisers, cooling hair oils, shower gels, etc.

In addition, Dabur’s therapeutic segment has extended its reach with a new therapeutics division covering one lakh Ayurvedic and Allopathic doctors. It has one lakh Ayurvedic and Allopathic doctors employees, and thereby, its digital-first brands comprise ₹100 crores of the total ₹12,404crore revenues.

Due to its strategic management decisions regarding distribution growth, innovation, product diversification and the changing scenario of the FMCG market, Dabur is all set to be a dominant player in the market.
