Indian Railways introduces Holi festival special trains for seamless travel

Indian railways have made great efforts by introducing special Holi Festival Trains to meet the increased demand for travel during this time of the year. Such trains have been set out in a special way to relieve pressure off the normal train service and ensure that travelers journey to their respective destinations in this festive season experience a smooth ride. Similarly to major cities, the list of cities in the new train special services scope includes Mumbai, Patna, Gaya, Katra, Varanasi, Saharanpur, Prayagraj, Pune, and Ambala.

The government of the Ministry of Railways on Sunday, the 24th of March, via X, the site now called Twitter, disclosed a list of Holi trains scheduled for the Special Holi season. A tweet by the ministry mentioned:

“Indian Railways is running Holi Festival Special Trains for easy shift of people to main locations across the country.”

The initiative implements means where train passengers can comfortably and rapidly access the spots in the country they intend to visit during the festive time.

Various railway zones have been declared to carry out extra train routes to meet the rising number of people and fairly run the railway services. Some of the major routes the train operates in are Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, Delhi-Saharsa, Gorakhpur-Mumbai, Kolkata-Puri, Guwahati-Ranchi and New Delhi-Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra through the rail links, Jaipur-Bandra Terminus,

Sporting these extra train services, Indian Railways hopes to improve the thoroughfare of both domestic and international transit, especially during the big-festive times. Pro-action is the key here to fulfill the passengers’ surge and to support the passengers’ peace of mind while traveling at the Holi festival.
