Introducing India’s first Vande Metro to the Indian Railways will revolutionize urban mobility. The successful State-owned Vande Bharat Train project is continuing to examine the modal transformation of intra-city transport.

The higher officers signified that preparations for simulated runs for the Vande Metro had already begun, which were set to be made available for the public from July 2024 onwards. Vandem Metro is an innovative service that uses the most advanced technology for rapid acceleration and deceleration to match the demands of daily commuting.

“Starting this year, we plan to introduce them to existing platforms. Their pilot testing will start in a few subsequent months,”

a source announced, saying that its main characteristics and graphics would be revealed later.

Vande metro will consist of ninety-six coaches in four—or eight-car sets. The demand is not limited to 16 coaches; it can be increased accordingly depending on what is required now. It is a new-age metro train that welcomed its successor with its automatic doors and one of the most luxurious services in metro trains so far.

The OBH city to be chosen for the first Vande Bhai has yet to be decided, yet Railways has put all efforts into arrangements. In light of the speeding up of the urban profile of India’s cities, the Vande Metro can be an ultimate choice amongst others as a strategic way to resolve the transportation requirements of urbanizing nations.
