According to an, in a bizarre instance, a businessman from Punjab, Gurdip Dev Bath, gifted ₹ 1 crore-worth Rolex watch to his contractor Rajinder Singh Roopra, who carried out the work of Bath’s 9-acre property-turned-fort in traditional Rajasthani style.
Bath reportedly did this as a gesture for Roopra’s dedication to “quality, speed of delivery, and meticulous attention.”
The watch in question, a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller in 18-carat yellow, is fitted with the make’s signature gold Oyster bracelet.
How was the ‘fort’ designed? The premises were designed by Delhi-based architect Ran jodh Singh. A sweeping boundary wall surrounds it, making it a private fort.
It also added that it has extensive halls, tastefully landscaped gardens, and exclusive architectural features [s].

Rajinder Singh Roopra is a Shahkot-based contractor from Punjab. He deployed a team of more than 200 laborers for this project and finished the work in two years.
Quoting him, the report said, “This is not a house; this is a statement of grandeur-crafted to the last detail to reflect timeless elegance. Respect for timelines and that eye for detail that only gave me so much more than I hoped for.”
Bath told the report that Roopra has not only met but actually “exceeded” his expectations on each count concerning the project.
Roopra further added that work on this project was challenging and enriching in nature at the same time. He attributed this to the effort of the entire workforce that brought it into being.
