Congress leader Rahul Gandhi declares assets worth over Rs 15 crore in poll affidavit.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has declared total assets worth more than Rs 15 crore in his nomination papers filed for the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala, according to the affidavit submitted to the poll body. Gandhi’s movable assets amount to Rs 9.24 crore, while immovable property amounts to Rs 11.5 crore, per the public documents.

He has substantial investments in equity markets, holding shares of companies such as ITC, ICICI Bank, Suprajit Engineering, and mutual funds totalling Rs 4.3 crore.

Gandhi also owns sovereign gold bonds worth Rs 15.21 lakh and agriculture land jointly with sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Delhi’s Mehrauli.

Additionally, he has declared an office space in Gurugram valued over Rs 9 crore in the affidavit.

Among other details, the Congress leader provided the list of cases pending against him related to defamation complaints and one under the POCSO Act over allegedly revealing the identity of a rape victim on social media.

He will again contest from Wayanad seat in Kerala, where polling is scheduled for April 26. Gandhi will be up against CPI’s Annie Raja and BJP state chief K Surendran this time.
