Trump Promises national Bitcoin reserve as president

Although, having labeled bitcoin as “not money” and slamming the cryptocurrency as rather risky and without proper backing while being the US President, it is clear that Donald Trump distinguishes from his past position.

Donald Trump, ex-US President and present Republican presidential candidate, has vowed to place the United States in a bracket that is synonymous with a cryptocurrency universe should he occupy the Presidency again.

Taking the stage at the Bitcoin 2024 convention on Saturday, Trump shared his plan for America to become the world’s Bitcoin superpower and pledged to create a national Bitcoin fund. However, he did not expand on the federal reserve special for digital currencies.

Before the speech, Trump said he will name an unspecified number of members for the advisory council that will be tasked with the responsibility of coming up with clear regulation of the cryptocurrency market.

This is a stark turn from his past formulation, where he outright dismissed Bitcoin as the so-called ‘not money’, disparaging it for flapping wildly between value and no value and having no backing at all.

Such promises include sacking Sec. and Exchange Commission Chair Gensler and the establishment of a ‘Bitcoin and crypto presidential advisory council.’

He promoted America to be in charge of the cryptocurrency market; he said, “I am unveiling the strategy that the United States of America will be the crypto capital of the world and the Bitcoin superpower of the globe.

The cryptographic currency popular for securing online peer-to-peer transactions has gained popularity at the international level.

Trump went on to caution the audience of Bitcoin investors that they would encounter difficulties in the event Harris assumed the presidency.

Actually, he is the first major party candidate who spoke at the annual conference devoted to cryptocurrencies and stated he felt proud to be the first American president to communicate with the Bitcoin community.
