Aussie cricketers speak out on BCCI and ICC dynamics

Steve Smith backtracked on his remark after taking a cheeky dig at ICC-BCCI, but Travis Head showed no hesitation in siding with the former’s earlier statement.

Amid the rising tension between India and Australia in the lead-up to the fourth Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series in Melbourne, an Australian media channel shared a clip of a bizarre game involving some big-name local players, including Pat Cummins, Steve Smith, Nathan Lyon, Travis Head.

They were asked to write a one-word description for the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Indian Cricket. Smith went on the back foot after the cheeky dig at ICC-BCCI, but Travis Head had no qualms supporting the former’s earlier statement.

Seven Australian cricketers were a part of the game conducted by ABC Sport, where each was asked to describe ICC, BCCI and Indian cricket in one word. The proceedings were initiated with Test captain Pat Cummins, who used a single word, ‘Big’, to define all three.
