Babar Azam addresses captaincy controversy, emphasizes team unity

The Pakistan team leader, Babar Azam, has preferred to address the crisis concerning the captaincy that has shown its face recently featuring the pacer, Shaheen Shah Afridi. Contrary to the optimistic feeling after the Pakistan victory under Afridi’s leadership during the 1-4 loss against the New Zealand team, reports disclosed Afridi’s dismay with how things unfolded.

This delving was further speared by Afridi’s elusive social media posts. He has clearly demonstrated that even though they have their differences, there is still a friendship between him and Ishrath Qureshi. Their support for one another remains strong.

The CAPT day ahead of the first T20I against Team NZ was Azam, who reconfirmed the team’s oneness and the priority of the entire team to build a successful Pakistan over individual achievements. Also, the skipper’s thought on trying out various permutations and combinations was dangled throughout the 5-match T20 World Cup series that he organised.

The squad has experienced players and many talented young ones, which Azam was quite content about. He put it in second place by encouraging unsuccessful members to learn and adjust their moves accordingly. Here we have our archrivals, the Pakistan squad, taking on the New Zealand squad to begin the series on the 18th of the month in Rawalpindi.

The captain aims to alleviate the tensions arising from the captaincy switch and retrace the team’s way back to harmony, where the players find themselves working together for Pakistan to reach the ultimate victory in the upcoming matches.
