Bangladesh achieves historic Test series win against Pakistan

Bangladesh also made cricket history on Tuesday by emerging as the Test-winning team for the first time against Pakistan as they won the second and final Test by six wickets at Rawalpindi.

Bangladesh has won their first Test series against Pakistan on Tuesday as the hosts lost the second Test match to them by six wickets at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Chaing 185 for a win, Zakir Hasan with 40, and the skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto with a contribution of 38.

Then Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan took 22 not out and 21 not out, respectively, and thus the script of the history in Rawalpindi.

For the first time in history, Bangladesh had beaten Pakistan by 10 wickets in the first Test, also held in Rawalpindi.

Pakistan reached 274 and then 172 in the second test, while Bangladesh was 262 after a wretched 26-6 in the first inning.

Litton Das’s 138 got Bangladesh out of a hole with the bat before fast bowlers Hasan Mahmud (5-43) and Nahid Rana (4-44) destroyed Pakistan on Monday.

This is only the third time Bangladesh has triumphed away from home soil in 33 series, having defeated the West Indies in 2009 and Zimbabwe three years ago.
