Both England right-hand batter Hary Brook and Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan have improved their rankings in the latest ICC Test rankings released on Wednesday.
Dubai [UAE]: England right-handed batsman Hary Brook and Pakistani wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan have improved in the ICC released Test rankings on Wednesday.
Joe Root, a veteran right-hander, continued as the world number one Test batsman after contributing during England’s victory in the first Test of the series with Sri Lanka in Manchester. Brook, who scored 56 and 32 during the Old Trafford match, has risen ranked significantly.
He is followed in fourth place by Harry Brook, who has moved up three places this month. The 25-year-old has leapfrogged Pakistan’s Babar Azam, Australia’s Steve Smith, and India’s Rohit Sharma onto the back of a rich vein of form.
Babar closed 6 places down and went from being equal 3rd to 9th after his rare failure in the first innings of Pakistan’s Test against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi, while Rizwan climbed 7 positions to attain a career-best position of equal 10th after scoring a century in the same match.
