England champions announce squad for World Championship of Legends

England squad for inaugural WCL season features veterans.

Ahead of the first edition of the World Championship of Legends (WCL), the England team owned by Praveen Sharma, Omar Al Omour, and Jacqueline Fernandez announced its squad for the upcoming season.

The outfit will see cricketing stars like Kevin Pietersen, Ian Bell, and Ravi Bopara return to competitive cricket after the IPL 2024 concluded recently.

In a statement, owner Praveen Sharma expressed excitement about having legendary talents guide a young unit and create memorable moments on the field.

The squad aims for an impactful show featuring seasoned campaigners Bell, Pietersen, and Sajid Mahmood alongside dynamic performer Kevin O’Brien.

Set to begin on July 3rd in Birmingham, the tournament pits England against India on opening day. Fixtures like England-Pakistan and India-Pakistan are also scheduled, heightening the competition.

The matchup promises to enthrall fans globally when both Asian rivals square off on July 6th.

As excitement peaks amongst followers ahead of cricket’s return, England will bank on the experience and guidance of veterans to make a mark in the inaugural WCL edition starting next month.
