Indian leading all-rounder Hardik Pandya is seen having the best time of his life before the T20I series against Bangladesh starts on October 6.
Pandya (30) has been part of India’s recent white-ball tour of Sri Lanka, where he featured only in the T20I series against their immediate neighbors.
After the series against Sri Lanka, the fast-bowling all-rounder has taken a break from cricket. He posted on his Instagram page where he can be seen taking sun and enjoying the waves on the sand during his break.
He is still an invaluable cog on the three- and one-day side and can undoubtedly be considered among the very best of the present-day all-rounders. The manner in which he takes wickets along with the big runs for his side is something that only a few players have at their disposal.
While Pandya is taking some much-needed break and preparing for his next mission, time will come that he must be fit and ready again as well as avoid landing in an injury-prone category again.
In fact, injury/ies has/have been one of the key concepts of Pandya’s career. The most severe incident was an ankle injury during a match against Bangladesh in the ODI World Cup 2023, after which he could not continue in the tournament.
His inclusion in the side could have been the tonic that the side required to cross the hurdle of the ultimate champions Australia during the final match in Ahmedabad.
The Indian team will be preparing for their next engagement; they are to play two Test matches with Bangladesh at home starting from September 19. The first game will be played in Chennai, and the second one will be played in Kanpur.
