Healy alleges Indian players ‘up to something’ with the ball during Australia A Test.
The ball-tampering controversy from the recent first India A-Australia A unofficial Test refuses to die down.
Taking note of the events, former Australia wicketkeeper Ian Healy has claimed the Indian players were “up to something with the ball”.
On the final day, Ishan Kishan led the team in surrounding the on-field umpire when a fresh ball was handed over by the umpires.
Craig cautioned Kishan for dissent after refusing to take his comment. Healy said the Indians were trying to generate reverse swing but failed, prompting the complaint over ball change.
“When a team complains, they were up to something,” he stated. Cricket Australia cleared any wrongdoing by India A while social media was abuzz with allegations.
Captain Nathan McSweeney‘s unbeaten 88 helped Australia A chase down a small total and win the match.
The second unofficial Test will be played in Melbourne, where Rahul and Jurel have been added to India A squad.
The incident has once again raised the ball-tampering issue while the teams eye the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
