Towards the climax of T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian cricket team is all set to face South Africa in the final match to be played at Kensington Oval, Barbados, on Saturday.
Having chosen to abandon the official practice session planned for Friday, the Indian team has decided to fly from Guyana directly to Barbados – where they triumphed over England with a 68-run margin in the semi-final match. This action by the team management shows readiness for the final and a belief in the team’s current preparedness in terms of training rather than over-training them in preparation for the final.
The Indian team set a different trend after conducting two consecutive press conferences in Guyana; Player of the Match Axar Patel and team head coach Rahul Dravid addressed the media. While supporting the form of the ideal cricketer Virat Kohli, Dravid confidently looked forward to the team for further success.
As for the South Africa en route to the final, the Proteas were held for several hours at the airport in Trinidad due to a landing mishap at the Grantley Adams airport in Barbados. However, the South African team has planned to practice for four hours before having their pre-match media chat on Friday as they parade themselves for a historical feat of qualifying for the final of a World Cup.
The last is an exciting battle of the Titans, as India, the two-time T20 world champions, will lock horns with South Africa, who are eyeing the World Cup cup for the first time.
