In a collaborative initiative between Cricket Australia and the Indian Consulate General in Melbourne, the Indian tricolor flag was displayed on the Melbourne Cricket Ground‘s (MCG) digital scoreboard screen on India’s Independence Day.
The iconic stadium hosted a special ceremony where the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 trophy was presented. The Olympic Room was decorated with Indian flags, lending a vibrant atmosphere to gathered fans.
The highlight was Indian fans getting an opportunity to take photos with the prestigious trophy, a gesture deeply appreciated. Proceedings began with the singing of the Indian national anthem, enhancing the patriotic spirit.
