Kohli lauds India’s gritty series win over England at home

With India cricket star Virat Kohli among the first to congratulate his national team after an unforgettable Test match series victory at home versus England, the cricket fever in India reached even the highest levels.

Kohli, who missed the series for the sake of his daughter’s birth, went straight to his social media page to praise the team immediately afterward, as he is a proud dad.

“Something spectacular from our young group. They have proven persistent, unyielding, and relentless,”

Wrote he, a joyful reaction.

The team deserved nothing less than hauling in the series on the steam of a convincing win in Ranchi by beating opponents by an inconceivable distance. Given the mandate to get 192 runs and win, the hosts began to face the challenge of slippery moments to grab the target with a trump card of five wickets remaining.

The openers Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal can act as a medium to give India a solid start, after which a bunch of quick turnarounds of the middle order brought the lights for England again. On the other hand, Shubman Gill has acquired a confident character at the crease, keeping calm to finish the innings unbeaten, making 52, while Dhruv Jurel played his part, too, as the two led their team to victory.

The win led not only to the sensibilities and the conceived mannerisms for which England is renowned but also to history for the country, as the wallball phenomenon had certainly given the cricketing world sleepless nights with its unorthodox nature. Outfielders were too inexperienced, and emotions led them to play aggressive batting against India’s crafty spinners in good conditions.

The win was India’s 17th straight home victory series, which reflects again what a fortress they build with every win on home grounds. Hugely successful since their last series loss in 2012–13, they have won 39 out of 50 tests on their term at home.

This youth franchise won after Nation failed to whitewash the visitors in the final Test match. This fact shows Kohli’s celebratory message’s emphasis on the magical achievements of this young unit. For now, players can revel in the thrills of close combat with their smart English defenses.
