Lucknow Super Giants prevail over CSK in IPL battle

In what turned out to be an exciting affair, the Lucknow Super Giants prevailed over the Chennai Super Kings at the Ekana Stadium during the latest match of this year’s IPL instalment. A peculiar incident during the match occurred in which CSK, playing at their rival’s home pitch, had the same away-game ambience they usually had while playing at home grounds.

Here, the limelight remained completely unwavering as the much-celebrated former skipper of CSK, MS Dhoni, emerged from a long hibernation. A floated placard in front of the match has the fans’ feelings; they want Dhoni to succeed and help LSG win the match. Finally, the crowd’s mounting pressure boiled over into a stunning comeback by Dhoni, who annihilated the rest of the bowlers, scoring 28 runs in just nine balls. On the field, this meant that among the records he set were an unthinkable six and also a massive 101-meter blow landed over the cow corner, which was extraordinary to the gamers.

Similarly, however, the performance of Dhoni would be recorded, whose contribution to the victory could have been possible for his team not the case, either. Though the team captain, KL Rahul, top-scored for LSG by making 53 balls 82, he contributed greatly toward his team’s victory. Besides de Kock making an impressive double of 134 runs, Rahul combined to create a formidable alliance, which was instrumental to victory for the home team. CSK managed to put a score of 176 for six in opposition to LSG, still, it was not enough to contain their opposition counterparts’ successful chase.

This bitter mistake was CSK’s third loss away from home by mid-season, making specific challenges they deal with playing away matches more visible. This finding made fans and analysts question themselves on touching issues of CSK’s home advantage and the big competitors they face even when faced with a new environment.
