Pollard smashes Rashid Khan for consecutive sixes in the hundred

As the rising star Rashid Khan bowled on August 10 in a The Hundred 2024 match, West Indies icon Kieron Pollard took him for five massive shots. In a Southern Brave match, Pollard was expected to assist his team to surpass 126 as a tally for a victory against the Trent Rockets.

In the second inning, after the 80th delivery, the Southern Brave was in such a difficult position that 49 runs were required to settle in 20 balls. That was the incident when Pollard hammered five successive sixes off Rashid to bring it back into the match at the Rose Bowl at Southampton.

The ferocious hitting was started by Kieron Pollard, where he pulled the 81st delivery and smashed it over cow corner for a six.

He was just able to get his bat to it and get back behind the line and send the ball over wide long-on. In the second delivery, the 37-year-old posed with his muscles, flexing his biceps.

He went for another big shot and hit it over long-off for a second maximum. A third consecutive maximum was awarded after Pollard took Rashid Khan deep to further punish the Trent Rockets with a third six.

The 84th delivery of the chase was got for another Rashid Khan boundary by Kieron Pollard.

He moved back towards the leg-side to come up with a big hit that went over deep midwicket. With the last ball of his show, Pollard placed a fuller outside off-right into his batting arc in a rather easy-crash-out technique; Pollard again went for the aerial shot and deposited it into the stands over long-off.

The fifth six bewildered the crowd that was available in the stadium.

The Royal London One Day Cup saw one of the most astonishing wins by Kieron Pollard and his stand, where the Southern Brave won the last match with only two wickets and from the last ball.
